Photograph glass, seals and mechanical fittings near the timber. Ordinary protection and careful application are different from removing glazing or modifying hardware systems. Specialist glass work and electrical security integration are excluded from the painting scope.
The selected finish needs its specified time before painted surfaces are pressed together or cleaned. Discuss how the opening will be used during that period. Application completion alone should not be taken as permission for immediate full contact or normal washing.
Show sheltered and exposed faces and provide any timber or product information. The coating needs to suit exterior use and the actual component. Ordinary painting does not provide waterproofing-system repairs or a guarantee against deterioration caused by an unresolved building issue.
Prepare and paint the accepted accessible timber component with a compatible exterior system, protecting adjacent surfaces and operating clearances. Scope limits: Complete ordinary accessible sound timber components only. No glazing work, structural rot reconstruction, hazardous stripping, waterproofing or high-access specialist work.
