Keep the paint label or colour reference where available. An original colour can still look different beside a weathered finish. A sample supports discussion, but no exact invisible match should be promised solely from a colour code or phone photograph.
Keep the treated area clear of contact and water as the selected product requires. Drying depends on the substrate and conditions. Completion of the local application is not a guarantee against future paint failure caused by an unresolved issue outside the agreed work.
Include nearby glass, paving, plants and fittings in the photographs. A small paint area can still need careful protection. Access to neighbouring property or removal of fixtures should never be assumed from the size of the mark.
Prepare and touch up the agreed small accessible exterior areas with compatible materials, keeping the repair boundaries clear. Scope limits: Small accessible sound exterior spots only. No full exterior restoration, waterproofing, hazardous coating disturbance or specialist high-access work.
